The Coptic Language Summer School 2024 offers an immersive experience tailored for  beginners and advanced learners, catering to students, scholars, and enthusiasts of ancient religious history. The program provides a comprehensive and well-founded understanding of the Coptic language, with a particular emphasis on the Sahidic variety.

A final certificate will be issued to students. The certificate grants 6 ECTS credits (European Credit Transfer System) and recognizes 150 hours of didactic activity. 

No official accommodation service is provided by the Coptic Summer School.

Summer School Courses

Introduction to Sahidic Coptic course is designed to cover all of the basic elements of Sahidic Coptic grammar, and to build a basic vocabulary

Advanced Coptic course delves into the reading and translation of a selection of Coptic works, ranging from Nag Hammadi Library to Manichaean and ancient hagiographical texts
